A Comparative Study of the Forms of International Education in Secondary Education in Egypt and Some Western European Countries Introduction Much change has occurred in the world which was a result of the advance in communication means which played an important role in tying up the parts of the world and the approach of their peoples which agreed on the need of peace spreading , International Understanding and co-operation and specially in the difficulties and wars taking place in the world . Since its establishment , the UNESCO tried to spread world peace through its main activities in the fields of education , sciences and culture , and also promoted the idea of International Understanding through education . And thus , appeared the idea of International Education with its activities and different forms : the ASP net , UNESCO Clubs , and International Dimension in parts of curricula and subjects . The Research Problem The forms of International Education in secondary education in Egypt suffer from many problems which prevent the achievement of its aims . The problem of the research , then ,is : How the forms of International Education can be developed in secondary education in Egypt in the light of Western European countries experiences ? The main question of the research includes the following sub-questions: 1- What are the forms of International Education in secondary education in the light of contemporary thought ? 2- What are the actual forms of International Education in Egypt , and the forces and factors affecting them ? 3- What are the actual forms of International Education in Switzerland and Finland , and the forces and factors affecting them ? 4- What are the procedures suggested for the development of International Education forms in secondary education in Egypt in the light of the comparative study , and which goes along with the Egyptian society ? The Research Hypotheses The main hypotheses of the research are : 1-The broadening of the International Education forms are tied up with the means taken by the society for developing education for understanding and peace . 2-The existence of co-ordination between the national commissions ,ASP schools , and UNESCO Clubs can contribute in activating their role in promoting education for understanding and peace . 3-The existence of a clear philosophy which can contribute in establishing programs and activities for the development of the International Education concepts. The Research Limits The research is limited to the study of International Education forms in Secondary education (ASP net , UNESCO Clubs , and related curricula ) , in relation to the measures of applying them , philosophy and aims , programs and activities . The comparing countries are Finland and Switzerland . The Research Aims and Importance The research aims at knowing the International Education forms in secondary education in the light of contemporary educational thought . The importance of the research is related to Egypt’s taking care of world attitude in including the International Dimension in education. The Research Method George Bereday’s approach is used which includes 4 steps : description and analysis , interpretation , juxtaposition and comparison . The Research Plan The research is in seven chapters as follows : Chapter I : The general frame of the research . Chapter II : Description and analysis of International Education forms in the light of contemporary education thought. Chapter III : Description and analysis of International Education forms in Egyptian secondary education in relation to the measures of applying them , philosophy and aims , programs and activities. Chapter IV : Description and analysis of International Education forms of secondary education in Finland in relation to the above 3 items . Chapter V: Description and analysis of International Education forms of secondary education in Switzerland in relation to the above 3 items . Chapter VI: A comparative study of International Education forms in -2- secondary education in Egypt and the compared countries in 2 steps : A. A primary comparative (Juxtaposition) study between Egypt and the 2 countries . B. A critical comparative study between Egypt and the 2 countries Chapter VII : The Research Results and Recommendations, which includes : A. The truthness of the hypotheses is assured . B. Generally , there is a world understanding of the role of education for the purpose of achieving International Understanding and World Peace . C. In relation to Egypt , there is a need for having a national plan for applying International Education in Egyptian Secondary Education, the contribution and co-ordination of the Ministry of Education , National Commission and Faculties of Education need more efforts in applying the idea of International Education . D. Suggestions and Recommendations 1-Taking the main authorities in the country a role in the idea of International Education . 2-Activating the role of the Faculties of Education in the International Education field . 3-Promoting the movement of expanding the idea of the ASP net and UNESCO Clubs . 4-Giving care to the ASP coordinators and UNESCO Clubs supervisors . 5- Encouragement of Non – Governmental Organizations ( NGOs ) and Business Men in promoting the ASP net and UNESCO Clubs activities

Abstract Title: Internet role effectiveness in development of managerial work in Umm AL-Qura University. Graduator: Arwa Bint Esmail Tojar AL Shahi. Degree: Master in educational administration and planning. Objectives: the study aimed at recognition of:- - ways of internet effectiveness in administrative development. - Positive sides of internet effectiveness in administrative development in Umm AL-Qura University. - Negative sides of internet effectiveness in administrative development in Umm AL-Qura University. - Statistically significance differences in range of teachers and administrators acceptance to use internet in administrative work development. - Difference in using internet between the administrators in Umm AL-Qura University. - Presentation of suggestions that contribute in effectiveness of internet role in administrative work in Umm AL-Qura University in Makkah. Methodology and sample: The graduator used analytical descriptive methodology, through which she recognized the reality of internet use in development of administrative work in Umm AL-Qura University. The study sample included some of the following categories working in Umm AL-Qura University for both boys and girls:- work leaders in Umm AL-Qura University administration. employers in registry affairs, libraries, students affairs, employers affairs, general administration). Tools of Collecting data: The graduator used the questionnaire which consisted of tow parts: the first part contains primary data, but the second part contains primary data processing, she used (SPSS) with the following satiations, percentages, mathematical mediums, (T) test, (F) test. Results: ١- Internet effectiveness in the administrative work in Umm AL-Qura University needs a lot of time to gives best results. ٢- There are some ways to effective the role of internet in Umm AL-Qura University administration. ٣- There are some blocks in application of internet effectiveness in Umm AL-Qura University. ٤- Realization of positives and negatives in application of internet in effectives if the internet in administrative work in Umm AL-Qura University. ٥- Centralization of administrative limits the use of internet as it is limited for some administrations. ٦- There is a mental difference between the medium of answers according to Job axes: using technology – internet application effectiveness. Positives sides of internet. ٧- There is mental difference between sample members according to. Reality of internet use – positive sides – Negative sides – administration centralization. Recommendations: Care about infrastructure of technology and internet inside UMM AL-Qura University as they help in achieving goals. Achieving priority and competence as they raise the performance level. - Administration program development to agree with technological age by choice of best programs. - Updating of working programs according to work need. - Planning and preparing policies mechanism, that suite the use of internet in preparation of human staff in Umm AL-Qura University, Training them during service how to use internet in best use
