Self-learning skills in the activities of the Arabic language book for grade ten (basic education) in Sultanate of Oman. Ali Salim Suleiman ALhosni Mu'tah Uneversity,2010 Study aims to investigate the self-learning skills in the activities of the Arabic language book for the tenth grade-basic education in the Sultanate of Oman, by answering the following two questions: 1. What self-learning skills necessary for students of the tenth grade basic education? 2. What is the availability of self-learning skills necessary for students of the tenth grade basic in the Arabic language book for the tenth grade basic education? To answer the previous questions; the researcher used the descriptive analytical method, and the preparation of the following tools: A - List of self-learning skills are necessary for students of the tenth grade basic education, which should be available in the activities of the Arabic language book for the tenth grade basic education. B - Analyzing card. After study procedures, the results are the following; 1 )- A list of self-learning skills necessary for students of the tenth grade basic education, which should be available in the activities of the Arabic language book for the tenth grade , which consisted of (30) distributed skills on three areas. 2) - The (80%) of self-learning in the list included these activities and in different proportions. In the light of the above-mentioned results, the study found a number of recommendations, and suggestions to undertake research and other similar studies, mainly the availability of skills, knowledge of self-learning syllabuses in the Arabic language in the second stage of the basic education.
