DETERMINATION OF DIFFUSION OF SOME RICE FERTILIZATION TECHNOLOGY IN SOME VILLAGES OF KAFR EL-SHEIKH GOVERNORAT
Abstract in English:
ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the factors that affect on diffusion of some technology fertilizers of rice, identify the farmer’s knowledge implementation degree of some rice technology fertilization and to determine the relationship between knowledge degrees of the respondents and some independent variables. A questionnaire was used to collect data through personal interviews with a systematic random sample consisted of 251 respondents in three villages (Meser, Almanshia Alkobra and Manshiat Zalouk), in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate. Percentages, diffusion rate, correlation, regression and step-wise multiple regression techniques were used in data analysis.
The most important results of this research were as follow:
• Diffusion rate of some rice technology fertilization was 63.87% of respondents and was 63.34, 99.2 and 29.08 % of respondents who used ammonia injection, blue green fertilizer and zinc sulfate fertilizer, respectively.
• All test variables are significant correlated with diffusion of some rice technology fertilization except, respondent age, agricultural holding and family number.
• Step-wise multiple regression analysis indicated that, determination coefficient was 39.1, 17.4 and 10% for ammonia injection fertilization, blue green fertilizer and zinc sulfate fertilizer, respectively.
• Step-wise multiple regression analysis yielded reduced equations contains the diffusion determinations of some rice technology fertilization in summary, cultural opening degree, average productivity of rice, exposure to information sources, extension communication degree and the degree of respondent’s education.
