Abstract in English:
The goal of this study is to develop 9th grads students’ higher order
thinking skills (i.e. Critical and Creative thinking) in the topic of
analytic geometry. To achieve this goal, the researchers expanded (this
expansion was suggested by Krulik and Rudnik, 1999) the Content of
George Polya’s final heuristic, looking back (Polya, 1973). The
expansion include three additional areas, namely: “What’s another
way?”,“What if…?”, and “What’s wrong?”.
The findings indicated the validity and effectiveness of these areas in
developing students’ higher order thinking skills, thus, evidence supports
previous claims (Krulik and Rudnik, 1999) that a post-heuristic level
exists after George Polya’s final heuristic (“looking back”) and that level
renamed Reflect (or After-the -Answer ) .Thus reflect level can
encourage Students’ to develop critical and creative thinking skills.
