Abstract: The study aimed at investigating the level of social skills amongst students with and without learning disabilities (LD), and whether it differs according to variables of gender, age or their interaction. Two hundred and seventy eight students (181 students without LD, and 97 students with LD) from schools which included resources rooms in Irbid Second Directorate of Education and Learning, were participated in the study. For the purpose of data collection, the study employed a modified version of the Social Skills Scale for Children with LD which was developed by Haroun (2005). The results of the study indicated that both children with and without LD demonstrated a moderate level of social skills, with higher means for children without LD on the total scale and its dimensions. Additionally, female children without LD had the highest level of social skills amongst the participating children, particularly in the skills of appropriate work habits and following school rules. The results also indicated that children without LD from the youngest and the oldest age groups (7-9 years and above 9-12 years, respectively) had a higher level of social skills than the children from the middle age group (above 12 years).
